Exhibitions /TIME - Time and atom
The room illustrates the modern conception of time, linked to the Theories of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics, the two great revolutions that renewed the physics of the 1900s.The visit starts from a large light clock, a conceptual tool that allowed Einstein to study the properties of time in depth.
The exhibit introduces the next section dedicated to the Theory of Special Relativity and in particular to the relationship between light and time.
Then follows a section dedicated to the atom properties, the the perfect virtual oscillator capable of capturing the regularity of the flow of time and which forms the heart of the modern atomic clock.
Albert Einstein
Then, a large touch-screen will lead you inside the arrow of time, perhaps the most deep and fascinating property whose implications - not yet fully.
